SUN

He grabbed me roughly by the hair.

He stripped me bare and flung me

to the parched, coarse ground.

He sucked me dry

and spat my fibrous pulp,

like a wad of masticated sugar-cane,

at the graffiti embellished walls,

the rank, white sand.

Always my lover

in a passionate, clandestine affair

he has come into his own here

in this vast cracked crucible.

He has blasted all of my body fluids dry,

crushed each drop of perspiration,

semen, blood, each crystal of urine

and salt into vapour.

Now I have been scattered by him:

an inconsequential belch

of foetid gas, along

the moving byways

of his underprivileged sister,

the  breeze.
